Ernest Miller Hemingway (1899 – 1961) was one of the greatest American novelists, writers, and journalists of the 20th century.
In 1953 he received the Pulitzer Prize for his famous novella “The Old Men and the Sea” (1952). One year later he was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Literature. His short story “Banal Story” first appeared in The Little Review, which was an American art and literary magazine, in 1926. After slight changes it was officially published as an afterthought within the collection “Men without Women” in 1927.Content:
