Fast in jeder deutschen Schule ist in irgendeiner Klasse schon einmal “Die Welle” thematisiert worden. Aber es lohnt sich auch einfach, dieses Experiment nachzuvollziehen und kritisch zu durchdenken.
Dieses Dokument liefert erste Informationen zum Inhalt und zum Verständnis des 1981 erschienenen Romans, der auf einer wahren Begebenheit an einer amerikanischen High School beruht.

In his novel Lord of the Flies (Herr der Fliegen) Golding paints a pessimistic picture of the human being. In this analysis the symbols and main motifs Golding uses are interpreted, and the main persons are characterized. A major part of this text is concerned with the motif of the human animal.

“Der Fänger im Roggen” von J. D. Salinger wurde 1951 veröffentlicht und wurde schnell zu einem Kultroman. Der vorliegende Text gibt zunächst eine kurze Einführung zum Roman, es folgt eine ausführliche Inhaltswiedergabe der einzelnen Kapitel. Anschließend erfolgt eine Interpretation des Werkes. Dabei werden sowohl sprachliche, wie auch stilistische und inhaltliche Merkmale berücksichtigt, um zu einem umfassenden Bild über den Roman zu gelangen. Fielding declared that he had invented a new style of writing with Joseph Andrews, the ‘comic epic poem in prose’, combining Romance and Burlesque with Realism and Ridicule. Ray Bradbury (*1920 in Illinois, USA) is an author and screenwriter. He mainly focuses on the genres of science fiction, horror and fantasy. During the 1940´s, at the beginning of his career, Bradbury primarily worked as a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines until he published the short story collection Dark Carnival in 1947.

Fahrenheit 451 (published in 1953) is Bradbury´s most famous work. It is one of the major dystopias of the 20th century and helped Bradbury to achieve international fame. In 1954 Bradbury won the Hugo Award for this novel, and in 1966 it was made into a movie.
