Oscar Wilde (1854 – 1900) an Irish poet, novelist and short story writer. He was born in Dublin, but moved to London at the age of 25, where he became a popular member of the society. After a famous trial, in which he was found guilty of having sexual relations with a much younger man, he suffered a dramatic downfall. He lost his support in society as well as his wealth.
